/// Finally visited Berlin for the first time last weekend after a year of living in Germany. Here's some photos :)
/// The delectable goods at Bäckerei & Konditorei Siebert (Schönfließer Straße 12). The windows are decorated quite simply with paper doilies. Like so much other things in Germany - nothing super fancy, but really delicious. The inside of the shop smelled amazing.
/// The delightful Knofi (Bergmannstraße 98), Turkish cafe/deli. The bread was for free, and the food was to die for. The lady behind the counter had a big voice and (it appears) a big heart, patiently guiding us through their enormous selection to point out the choicest foods. I said "thank you" to her in Turkish after paying up and she was chuffed as anything.
/// Normally I'm the only morning person. Julian managed to get a photo of me in my "at home" state (I'd never step out with my hair like that), with my sketch book in the kitchen one morning. The drive from Tübingen to Berlin is 6-8 hours, depending on how fast you go on the autobahn. For most of the trip I was dead to the world (in this photo I look like I've been murdered in the backseat). Finally, a photo with friends in the stairwell... good times.
