/// April weather is either sunny and bright or wet and miserable. Good weather: dresses and photos. Poor weather: slouchy jeans and laptop. The bi-weekly Swing Zeit social in Tübingen was jammed this week. Hope it will continue to grow even after we move away :) The best part was seeing out-of-towners drive over just to join us! Here's some of last week's highlights, in case you missed it.
/// On Easter Monday I went and celebrated with Julian's extended family. He did tell me ages ago that they do Easter egg hunts with baskets of sweets but I'd completely forgotten (in fact, at the time I had no idea I'd be living in Germany and joining in). Here's some photos from the trip :)
多變的春季在復活節送給我們又濕又冷的一週～ 一些精選的復古點子，in case you missed it :) /// Spring brought us a cold and wet week right at Easter time. Here's some of the best from this week, in case you missed it :)
On top of buying a few things for the shop, I took some photos at last week's antique market :) Enjoy~
/// Laptop drinking a cup of tea, being concerned with Taiwan's protests, and visit by parents = hardly any content for the last few weeks. Having put the rentals on a train to Frankfurt, I finally got down to cleaning up the content from the last few weeks. Here's some inspirational pictures, in case you missed it.
Saw on my friend's fb that her stuffed animals was about to retire. Reminded me of my extensive collection as a child and how much I relied on them for companionship. I remember having my favourite dog-toy when I stayed at the hospital as an eight year old for a surgery. I wouldn't have been able to imagine life without them but after moving so much in my teens and twenties, I haven't got a single one left now.
Her post reminded me of Mark Nixon's Much Loved, and what it reveals about our relationship with the material world. We wouldn't forsake these old friends because they are tired and worn (we'll be that way too before long). Indeed, sometimes the preloved is especially beautiful because of the love and care that have obviously been lavished upon them.
